David Forrester has been a leader in the tire recycling industry since starting Tires Inc. in 1991 where he created the first successful whole tire to crumb rubber business in the U.S. David formed TIRES with the express intent of creating a tire recycling business that integrated positive environmental operations with Total Quality manufacturing and sound business practice. Under David’s leadership, TIRES became the largest supplier of crumb rubber for the industrial sector in the country, recycling more than 20 million tires and producing and selling more than 200 million pounds of crumb rubber over its first 15 years in operation.
In 2007, David sold TIRES to Liberty Tire Recycling, the largest tire collector in the U.S. David led Liberty’s crumb rubber sales and operations as Liberty quadrupled in size. David currently leads both Liberty’s Southeast region and the company’s Manufacturing Excellence efforts.
