Denise Kennedy

Denise Kennedy, founder and president of DKE Enterprises, Inc. (dba DK Enterprises), brings over 28 years of leading successful business and marketing transformation strategies to the tire recycling industry and leadership in national scrap tire associations and initiatives including working as Task Chair of International ASTM D11.20.01 (Recycled Rubber), ASTM Chair of Environmental Safety and Sustainability of ASTM D36.40 (Recovered Carbon Black), Membership Chair of the Synthetic Turf Council and member of the retread associations, Tire Industry Association and National Parks & Recreation.

Since 2006 Denise has played a key role within the contractor teams for CalRecycle’s Tire Outreach & Market Assistance (TOMA and TOMA2) Programs and the Tire Derived Product Business Assistance  Program (TBAP) including assisting in preparing the California Annual Market Tire Study. In 2015 DK Enterprises was awarded the CalRecycle Feedstock Conversion Technical Assistance and Material Testing Services (FCS) Contract. Denise has served as principal industry liaison, analyzing scrap tire flows and identifying market trends, barriers and opportunities and has been passionate in assisting clients in utilizing best management practices (BMP) in the development of products utilizing tire rubber and other raw materials.

Ms. Kennedy’s recognition of opportunities, collaborative and matchmaking skills with the rubber and plastic manufacturers, end users, compounders, tire-derived material (TDM) suppliers, testing facilities, technical experts, equipment manufacturers, testing rubber particle sizes utilizing the Ro-Tap Sieve Shaker to better ensure BMPs and scrap tire facility and hauler permitting have resulted in addressing problem solving issues, market and product development.
