Anthony “Wes” Westbrooks

Senior Waste Logistics Specialist, BMW Manufacturing Co.

Wes Westbrooks has served as Senior Waste Logistics Specialist for BMW for the last 16 years at BMW Manufacturing Plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In this role, he is responsible for the waste management and recycling contract that manages the movement of waste streams from the point of generation to final disposition. 

During his nearly two decades with BMW, he has led the Zero Landfill effort at Plant Spartanburg as well as the company’s “Green team.” Wes works with all departments as well as onsite contractors to promote recycling and the proper disposal of all waste streams. He also supports mentoring programs for local schools and businesses on recycling and setting landfill-free targets. 

Wes is the Chair for the Recycling Market Development and Advisory Council for the state of South Carolina and is the former President and Treasurer for the Carolina Recycling Association.

He received his Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University and his associate’s degree from Methodist College.
